June Bank Holiday

This weekend was the June Bank Holiday, so we headed to Paul's parent's house for the long weekend. We headed out early Saturday morning and arrived in Louisburgh just before lunch. After lunch and Gemma's nap, we took Gemma to Old Head beach near Louisburgh. The water was a little on the cool side, but she loved walking in the sand and splashing her feet in the water. After a wave would come and hit our legs, she would say, 'more'!

After the beach, we enjoyed the sunshine in Granny and Grandad's backyard.

Saturday night we had a family birthday dinner for Paul's twin uncles, who were 60. On Sunday it rained most of the day, so we were mostly stuck inside. Gemma helped Granny with chores (while wearing one of Granny's aprons!).

She then got some driving lessons from Grandad.

After lunch and a nap, Gemma explored the turf shed with Daddy.

And, after a busy day, she took a pre-bedtime rest with Granny.

Today we visited some family in the morning, where Gemma got to see 'Tom's sheep'. After lunch and Gemma's nap we hit the road and arrived back in Dublin around 6pm. It was a great weekend!
