Our flight from Dublin to Chicago was fairly uneventful, and Gemma did great. She even liked the turbulence, putting her hands up in the air and giggling as if she were on a roller coaster! She only napped about 30 minutes of the 8 hour flight, but she was happy to walk up and down the aisles, read books, play with toys, watch Barney on the iPad, and have snacks. We only had two hours to make our connection in Chicago, and unfortunately the security lines were so long (we had to switch terminals), that we missed the connection. We were able to get standby on the next flight, an hour later, and we got on that flight. We even got to sit in first class! Another girl who was flying standby gave us her seat there so we could have more room! We arrived to Minneapolis around 6:30pm (12:30am to our bodies), and Gemma was delirious with tiredness at this point. She ran right into grandma's arms though!
Freya arrived at Margo's on Saturday evening, and this is the two cousins seeing each other:
On Easter Sunday, we went to my aunt and uncles's house for dinner and an Easter egg hunt with my extended family on my mom's side. It was a beautiful day, and I don't think Gemma had ever had that much space in which to run around! She had a blast!
