Valentine's Day

Our Valentine's Day celebrations started on Friday evening with a quick dinner at a shopping centre near here, then we saw the movie "Valentine's Day". It was kind of similar to Love Actually, but not quite as good. It was good, light-hearted entertainment though. Paul worked most of the day yesterday and I got a few things done around the house, and today our Valentine's activities continued with a drive along the sea south of Dublin.

Our first stop was Bono's house near Killiney. I've wanted to see it since moving over, but unfortunately we didn't get invited in for tea. Here are the gates

Our next stop was Coliemore Harbour in Dalkey. We saw people snorkeling from the pier. BRRRR!

We travelled on to Dun Laoghaire where we enjoyed brunch and walked through a farmer's market in a park. We headed back towards Lucan, stopping to do the weekly shopping along the way. When we were in the grocery store, I had to sit and wait awhile while Paul bought his secret ingredients for dinner. He made a great meal of beef stir-fry and this fabulous dessert of chocolate fondue!
